Nestled in the Doone Valley, the farmhouse at Lorna Doone Farm is alleged to be the home
 of John Ridd in the famous R. D. Blackmore novel "Lorna Doone".
The Buttery is part of this farmhouse and sits next to the Badgeworthy Water 
and the ancient Packhorse Bridge and Ford.
