Welcome to our 17th Century farmhouse, nestling amid the patchwork fields of our 365 acre working farm within the Exmoor National Park where we rear Exmoor horn sheep and the family horses.

Areas of outstanding natural beauty surround the farm such as the Valley of  Rocks, the National Trust's Watersmeet and Heddon Valleys, the Heritage coast with some of the highest cliffs in England and of course the legendary Doone Valley made famous by R.D. Blackmore's novel " Lorna Doone".
Also within easy reach are delightful haunts like Tarr steps, Horner Woods and Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor. There are many charming villages nearby, Lynton and Lynmouth, Brendon, Oare, Porlock and the idyllic Selworthy to name but a few.

Lounge Dining room

The farmhouse offers the comfort of central heating throughout. There are five guest bedrooms, two family, one twin, one double with shower room en-suite, one single with private shower and toilet. All have comfortable beds, electric shaver points and hot drink facilities. Bath and hand towels provided. Our dining room with old beams and inglenook fireplace offers an extensive breakfast menu from which to choose. Start the day with any thing from fruit juices to a full farmhouse breakfast and enjoy our homemade bread and marmalade. We can also provide pack lunches.
We recommend our own spring water which rises on the cliffs at Desolate and serves the house for all its needs.

There are many scenic walks in the area across the heather clad moorland, through steep wooded  valleys beside sparkling streams - a walkers paradise. The South West Coastal Path runs through our farmland here at Desolate.
Trout fishing is available in the nearby East Lyn river, sea fishing and boat trips leave from Lynton and Lynmouth or Porlock.
There are riding stables in the vicinity
